The C++ Institute has added a new course to the learning portfolio on the Cisco Networking Academy learning platform.

CLA: Programming Essentials in C, similarly to the CPA: Programming Essentials course, builds foundational IT skills needed to succeed in jobs related to software development, network engineering, system administration, and the expanding IoT. The 70-hour, beginner level course teaches fundamental programming techniques, customs and vocabulary, including the most common library functions and the usage of the preprocessor, and is aligned to the CLA – C Programming Language Certified Associate Certification.

The CLA: Programming Essentials in C course is currently being offered to 9,500 educational institutions around the world through limited enrollment mode, which means that those academies that wish to test the course or create a CLA: Programming Essentials in C class should contact the C++ Institute and request access to the content. The course will be fully available in January 2017. Individuals who wish to find an institution that offers the course will be able to use the Academy Locator at netacad.com
