Online Certificate Verification Page

OpenEDG has created an online system to verify all C++ Institute credentials held by candidates all over the world. Candidates may now have others easily verify their certification status by using a unique certificate verification code. The certificate verification code can be found on all certificates issued by C++ Institute in the bottom right-hand corner.

Authenticate certification
If you wish to authenticate a certificate issued to an individual, visit our Certificate Verification page and enter the candidate’s verification code for each certification they hold. After entering the verification code, you will be presented with authentication details relating to the holder of the certificate.

Direct link to a digital transcript

Each candidate who holds a certification issued by C++ Institute can present a direct link to their digital transcript. This link takes the following form: https://verify.openedg.org/?id=AAAA.BBBB.CCCC/ – in which the four letters A, four letters B, and four letters C constitute a unique 12-character verification code. Example: https://verify.openedg.org/?id=30JZ.HI9U.sixS.

Official paper certificate

Each candidate who has passed one of the following C++ Institute exams receives an official paper certificate: CLA, CLP, CPA, and CPP. The certificate bears the holder’s name, title, and a unique verification code. It also states the level of the holder’s proficiency in the C or C++ programming language and the scope of subjects tested during an exam. The certificate is issued within 45 days of passing the exam and sent to the candidate by post.

Note: As of September 1, 2020, all certifications will be issued in the digital form only. No paperback versions of certifications will be sent to successful test candidates by default.
